Ambient That Moves | Robert Farrugia + Ben Mifsud Joslin (Live)

Ambient music. Sunday afternoons. Two things that are historically known for sending people into a state of lull. This changes with Ambient That Moves, an afternoon where Robert Farrugia and Ben Mifsud Joslin will both perform solo sets that intend to make you sway rather than snooze.

Robert Farrugia has been creating music for over a decade and has published work with labels such as Phantom Limb, Archives, and rohs! records. At Ambient That Moves, he will perform a set of unreleased downtempo electronica that is a departure from the ambient sound he has become synonymous with. Robert will also be syncing visuals and projections with his set in real time.

If ambient with a pop sensibility even exists, you might find that Ben Mifsud Joslin’s music falls somewhere within that description. Ben writes instrumental tracks with a bass guitar, effects pedals, drum machines, and loopers, where the compositions evolve through interwoven melodies rather than pads and soundscapes.
